The buttons and sliders appearing directly above the drawing area can be used to control pattern drawing. These controls operate as follows:
The stop button causes pattern drawing to cease immediately. The partially drawn pattern, if any, will remain. |
The clear button wipes away the current pattern, filling the entire drawing area with the current background color. |
The next two buttons are mutually exclusive, i.e. only one of these remains pressed at a given time. |
When the draw once button is down, drawing automatically stops when the selected pattern is completed. |
When the draw continuously button is down, drawing continues indefinitely (until you press stop, clear or erase). Typically the same pattern will be redrawn repeatedly. |
The speed slider controls how quickly patterns are drawn. With the slider in its initial centered position, complete patterns are drawn in a couple of seconds. Dragging the slider to the left slows down the drawing, pausing when at the extreme left. Moving the slider to the right speeds up drawing. Drawing is nearly instantaneous when the slider is at the extreme right. |
The trail slider controls the persistence of the drawing. At its initial, extreme left, setting the line is permanent. At other settings the line disappears from the trailing end as it’s drawn. With the slider at the extreme right, there is simply a moving dot with no trailing line. |
